Five killed as truck hits tempo

Kushinagar:Five persons, including three women, were killed and as many injured after the tempo they were travelling in was hit by a truck in Hata area here, police said today.

The five victims -- identified as Sanwari Devi (45), Abti Devi (60), Lalti (45), Pratap (50) and driver Mohan (25) -- died on the spot after the accident last night, they said.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.The truck driver is still at large.
