FIR against BSP candidate

Jaunpur:An FIR was registered against BSP candiadte Tej Bahadur Maurya and his two supporters for allegedly beating a former village head, police said today.

Maurya, who is contesting from Jaunpur Sadar seat along with two supporters allegedly beat the former head of Lakhanpur village Dhanai Maurya last night.

Later, agitated villagers went to Line Bazar police station and an FIR was registered against the candidate and two others.

Polling is going on in the district today.
