Actor Saif Ali Khan booked in attack case

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been booked for allegedly assaulting a man after a heated argument with him in a Japanese restaurant in south Mumbai last night, police said.

The victim Iqbal Sharma approached the cops last night claiming that he was attacked by Saif Ali Khan and his friends, during which, he was punched by the actor, senior PI of Colaba police station Vinod Sawant told PTI adding that the actor is likely to be arrested.

The victim claimed that he was having dinner with his family members in Wasabi restaurant in Colaba last night, while the actor and his friends were sitting next to their table, police said.

Sharma stated that he had objected to the loud talks by Khan and his friends. When he pointed it out to them, the actor and his friends got enraged and following a heated argument, attacked him.

The actor and his friends have been booked under IPC 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in home production ''Agent Vinod'' with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. The film will release on March 23.
