Chandigarh:After a brief spell of renewed cold, the minimum temperature in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today rose by upto four notches above normal.
The minimum temperature hovered between four to one notches above normal in parts of Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said here.
In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, Amritsar settled at a low of six degrees Celsius.
While Narnaul had a low of nine degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, the minimum temperature at Ludhiana was 9.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.
Among other places, Patiala and Karnal settled at an identical low of 10 degrees Celsius, one notch each above normal, followed by 10.4 degrees Celsius at Hisar, one notch above normal, and 10.9 degrees Celsius at Rohtak, two notches above normal.
Chandigarh had a low of 11.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, whereas Ambala settled at a low of 12.2 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.
